CHICAGO! Ministry Site Kiddos
This is me with some of my girls, whom I love from Bible study and such. (That canal is frozen over.) Some of the Chicago skyline is behind us. The trip was good... it was cold and tiring, but great. The ministry was kinda hard for me, bc it was very detached, in that you are at a site for an morning/afternoon and that is all. But I learned a good lesson from that-- ministry is never about me, while building relationships are great- the ministry should be solely about Christ. One of the leaders said, "When you leave a site we hope that they don't remember you, but that they Remember the Christ you left them with." That was humbling for me. Although I would never see the kids or people ever again, what was done for Christ could impact them for eternity. That was a good lesson for me. My very favorite part of the trip was sharing it with my Bible Study girls. Six girls from our Bible study went on the trip. I was so great hanging out with them and doing ministry with them! It was such a joy to see them experience ministry and how God can use them! There were quite a few other younger girls that I love, who were so anxious about the trip-- never done anything like it before! It was beautiful to watch them grow through it and really love it! That totally made my week! It was great to be there to encourage them in it, and hear how God changed their hearts that week! Praise the Lord :)
