I knew that when I got home I would have a few friends that hitched a ride to America in my suitcases... lots of people wanted to come with us, but would not fit in the bags- the roaches on the other hand found room.... (and yes I am wearing a panya- it was the first thing i saw in my room and it just felt natural. haha)

A little bit of Africa

Well since my last blog... I've been to Senegal, West Africa and back! crazy talk. I can't really believe that its come and gone. The Lord taught me so much and opened my eyes to his world and his character and his plans for man.
It was such a blessing to serve the Lord along side Tim and Kate and the other missionaries in Dakar. Dakar is a spiritually dark place and physically tiring place to live. I gained so much respect for the missionaries there and received such encouragement for their passion to see the lost come to Christ. Seeing such need for light in such a dark place made leaving Senegal hard, but the hope that I found in leaving was the perspective I gained in how to pray for the Lebou people, the missionaries serving, and the work taking place in West Africa. God is working whether I am there or not, but I know that I can plea to him on behalf of the Lebou for his work to be done!
I ask you to join in praying for the glory of God to be known in Senegal.
- Pray for people who were given God's Word- that it will open their spiritually blind eyes to truth.
- Pray for the few believers- strength to follow Christ in Muslim society and understanding of God's Word and a thirst for it.
- Pray for the missionaries- wisdom and strength as they build relationships, disciple, and live in Dakar
